An addition to:
[ 1554147 ] open editor does not work if the filename contains spaces

It seems that the editor does not open either, if file extentions are not included in the \input{}-statements.
I.e.
\input{myfile.tex} will produce "fully-enough" qualified source links.
\input{myfile} will not.

Both compile correctly though.
